Materials & Supplies
1. Foundation Materials & Starter Drawing Kit
All basic drawing paper used in class is provided by the studio.
At the beginning of the program, students are required to purchase the Art Muse Starter Drawing Kit.
Starter Drawing Kit – $30 (Required at the start of the program)
Includes: 4B drawing pencils (5), kneaded erasers (2), Tombow erasers (5), blending stumps (2), sandpaper pad (1), pencil extender (1), and pencil box.
2. Project-Specific Materials
As students develop advanced portfolio pieces, certain projects may require specialized materials such as canvas, professional paints, or custom surfaces.

Portfolio Readiness Consultation
Every student begins with a portfolio readiness consultation.
During this session, we review the student’s current drawing skills, artistic interests, and preparation timeline for specialized art high school admissions.
Based on this evaluation, we provide:
• A realistic preparation timeline
• Recommended weekly studio schedule
• Guidance on portfolio expectations for NYC art high schools
Our goal is to help each student follow a clear and strategic path toward a strong portfolio.
